It’s always intriguing to see people and know that every one of them is unique. That they each have different callings and purposes. and then I wonder how many of them even realize that they were created with specific purpose? How many have abandoned the gifts given to them by God? Paul tells his spiritual son Timothy when writing to him in 1 Timothy 4:14-15, “Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.”
1 Corinthians 12:15-19 says, “*If the foot should say, ‘Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, ‘Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,’ it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be?”
If you value your gift, you won’t be tempted to be something you’re not.
See your gift as a unique fingerprint from Heaven, specifically designed and given to you. It is valuable. It is a treasure. Don’t neglect it and stifle it, because it’s not like everyone else. Your gift makes way for your voice. Your voice is what the Kingdom needs. It is the Holy Spirit through you for the salvation of the world! Don’t compromise what you’ve been given because of insecurity or intimidation. Be bold in what you carry! You are needed!
I encourage you today to take notice of those around you. You never know who*s waiting for you to operate fully in your gift and needs your voice.
